AMEN! I feel your pain and frustration. Except, not because I’m on your end, but the other. A few years ago I thought I’d get in the press release/PR biz by undercutting…colossal mistake and all the errors in that thinking you pointed out I learned about. Quick.

I agree. I have chosen to step aside from the Haunt and horror design arenas. But I am a senior graphic designer and Art director by day so I completely understand what you are stating.

I go through it daily the undercuts by people whose kids know basic functions of photoshop etc.

All I can say is hang in there because in the end they all come back round and will never openly admit why they are back to you.

Ah Chicago. I keep forgetting that you are only two hours away from us, maybe less. There isn’t much happening in Grand Rapids, so I need to start looking that direction for some art shows and things. Now that we aren’t covered in snow, I need to get on that again.

On that note… Any idea how much a small table at the Flashback Con would cost?

I’m always neck-deep in Flashback Weekend, which will be in Chicago (OK – Rosemont) the weekend before Halloween.

I’ll also be at at least 3 haunted house conventions/tradeshows – TransWorld, HAuNTcon & the Midwest Haunters Convention.
